Goodbye Gsxr, Goodbye Riding

I sold the Gsxr today to Jason from California Sportbike (without the mods, of course!). I just couldn’t justify keeping it since I just don’t have the time to ride anymore. Jason runs a business under the nose of the University of California at Berkeley, supercharging sportbikes. This particluar bike was to receive his stage 2 kit, an Akrapovic full exhaust system, and be shipped off to some rich guy in Dubai.

Bye Gixxer!

While I do love the Devil exhaust, I was bummed that I couldn’t use my Sato Racing titanium hanger. In addition, who else knew Suzuki tuning better than Yoshimura? So, I got one of these babies imported directly from Japan. It cost me quite a pretty penny, but when i saw it and held it in my hands, it was worth every cent!

CRG Levers have become a must mod for me on every bike I own. Unfortunately, the Gsxr1k is such a new bike that they don’t have a correct fit for it yet from CRG. However, they did recommend the supersport clutch to compliment their brake lever:
This has a shory lever attached to it.

Since there was no reasoning with Ken, I had no other choice but to lawyer-up and threaten legal action. We gave them two weeks to respond, and lo and behold, on the last day, Ray the owner calls the law office trying to talk settlement.

Long story short, Ray agreed to do everything they were supposed to do anyways. However, they still managed to cheat me out of one month’s worth of extra payment for the Cbr. Scumbags!

I was so impressed with the Devil Exhaust from my Cbr that I decided to give them another try. This time, I still stuck with the Magnum series, and carbon fiber can, but got a highmount:
